About L'Arche GlasgowThe impetus for L'Arche Glasgow came from an ecumenical Easter retreat in the city led by L'Arche's founder Jean Vanier. This inspired several Glasgow people to organise a day-long conference in the city about learning disabilities, from which emerged a core group of active people. Aware of the lack of suitable accommodation for people with learning disabilities in Glasgow, they invited L'Arche to work with them to set-up a Community in the city. They have been researching the level of need for residential support for people with learning disabilities in the area, and raising awareness of L'Arche through local talks and fundraising events.
We should be glad to hear from anyone
